My Plan To Get Everyone Unblocked
- Tony Gonzales' Campaign: I will send a formal letter to his campaign office documenting all reported blocks and demanding he immediately unblock everyone and cease silencing critics and constituents. The letter will be published publicly for full transparency. This gives his campaign a chance to go through the list and unblock everyone on it, before I reach out to other parties. Wishful thinking would be that he just unblocks everyone regardless of this list.
- Independent Journalists: Shortly after I send his campaign my letter, I will share my findings and the letter with journalists committed to truth and who have a substantial following to help amplify the issue and increase public awareness.
- Content Creators: I will reach out to prominent voices and influencers within conservative circles who have significant followings and engagement and can help bring attention to this issue.
- Media Outlets in TX-23: There are several websites, newspapers, radio, and TV stations that cover the TX-23 Election. I will reach out to them with my data to encourage coverage of the story as well.
- Public Officials: I may also consider sending my compiled data to other public officials who can exert pressure on Tony Gonzales to change his blocking practices and unblock every individual & constituent. For example, those who've endorsed him.
This is a maximum pressure campaign. The more reports I gather, the stronger this case will be when I present it to these parties. My ultimate goal is to create enough public scrutiny and pressure to compel Tony Gonzales to lift all blocks on his X account @TonyGonzales4TX and cease his practice of silencing critics and constituents on social media.
If you're an interested party above, and would like to cover this story, please shoot me an email at media@unblockmetony.com.
This is not a legal action, but rather a coordinated public accountability effort.
The Preferred Outcome
While I cannot guarantee specific outcomes, my preferred outcome is simple: Tony Gonzales unblocks everyone from his @TonyGonzales4TX account. He doesn't need to make a statement or respond to me directly—he just needs to unblock all the individual accounts he has silenced.
By shining a light on Tony Gonzales' blocking practices, I believe this will create significant pressure for change.
Public officials should not be allowed to silence anyone on social media based on their viewpoints, especially when these platforms serve as modern public forums for civic discussion.
Who Is Behind This Project?
I'm Dalton Sutton, a liberty-minded software developer who's been developing websites for over 15 years. I'm not paid by any organization or political group to run this site—I'm doing this entirely on my own time because I believe in holding public officials accountable and defending free speech online.
Before the May 28, 2024 runoff election, I created TonysVotingRecord.com to expose Congressman Tony Gonzales' egregious congressional voting record. The site and accompanying videos garnered around a million views and caught the attention of three sitting congressmen—Rep. Matt Gaetz, Rep. Bob Good, and Rep. Andy Biggs, all of whom retweeted my work. Rep. Andy Biggs even quote-tweeted my video and attached his endorsement of Tony's opponent to it. I spent just $37 in total on that project. Worth every cent.
The work was becoming incredibly effective. A week before the runoff election, Tony blocked me and anyone who shared the site or videos from his X campaign account—a clear attempt to silence criticism. Though Tony won re-election by only 1.2%, his blocking spree has expanded far beyond just me. He's been systematically silencing critics, constituents, veterans (some whom he even served with), and anyone who dares to question his actions in Congress or his lies. This can be seen all over X.
This project is my response to that censorship and a commitment to the principle that vigorous criticism of our elected officials is fundamental to a functioning Republic.
